Pictures from Philippines Relief Work

Here are some pictures coming in from relief work being done in the Philippines by Rahim, Rochelle and friends with the money we’ve raised. So far the pictures are of gathering and packing goods for transport to Tacloban and islands north of Cebu, which were hard-hit by Typhoon Haiyan. Many thanks to the global bitcoin community and the people on the ground in the Philippines for their heroic efforts to help storm victims. We’ll post more photos as they come in.

Philippines 1581 relief bag crew

“Residents of Cebu City took time on Thursday 14 November packing goods to send to Malapascua, after an overwhelming response from the city’s local and foreign community. Supplies include canned beef and fish, water, rice, temporary shelter, as well as essential medicines, and will be sent up to Malapascua by boat early Friday morning. Special thanks to all who volunteered with organizing and packing, and to those who were so generous in their donations!”
