Paul Frontiero III Memorial Wig Campaign **Update #4**

Note: Our more recent updates can be found here and here.

Hello everyone, I’ve been growing my hair for well over three years and it is close enough now to be able to donate it for charity. Often, when someone decides to donate their hair to charity the donations are shipped off in a bag to a particular hair charity (Locks of Love, Wigs for Kids, etc.) and never heard of again. Sometimes the recipient of the wig is even charged money.
So today, I would like to announce the initiation of a Fr33 wig campaign. The first step in our campaign is to find a recipient. Ideally, the wig would be for an individual who finds themselves or a family member in a difficult position with medical treatment. If you know someone who is in need, please leave us a message via the contact us tab above. Type wig recipient in the subject line.
The outline for the campaign is as follows:
1. Find a recipient
2. Fundraiser for wig cost
3. Cut off my hair
4. Send hair to wig maker
5. Have wig created with specifications requested by the recipient
6. Deliver wig
7. Spread message of a voluntary society 🙂
I will continue to update this blog post as this process develops.

This campaign has been dedicated to the memory of Paul Frontiero III. A selfless individual who gave his life protecting others. A neonatal ICU cuddler. A friend and true life saver.

I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words. We are reaching many people but are still looking. I’m sure it will be any day now someone will reach out. Please try to get this in the right hands so we can help someone in need 🙂

Peace. Love.

**UPDATE #2**

August 4, 2015

We continue to our search for a wig recipient. I have made contact with a barber who is donating their time to properly cut off my hair and prepare it for shipping once the time comes. Thank you all for your continued support.

**UPDATE #3**

We are still looking for recipient for the wig campaign. I have been trying to avoid reaching out to a large organization looking for a wig recipient as we only have one wig to give. I want to reach the right people without contacting too many people, having to turn someone away. It is a balancing act but my confidence is still strong. Thank you all.

**UPDATE #4**

October 5, 2015

This coming month I am going to try a more targeted approach with contacts to find a recipient. There are a few organizations I have in mind to get in touch with that may be able to help us in our search. Any further promotion of this article by friends and supporters of Fr33 Aid would be much appreciated. Thank you all for helping advance a voluntary society! 🙂

Peace. Love.
